Queensland's core police operational database has encountered significant delays in data accessibility, attributed to recent system updates.

Queensland Police confirmed that the latency in data access impacted all QPRIME applications and QLITE devices.

Developed in the early-to-mid 2000s, QPRIME is an acronym for Queensland police records and information management exchange. A single point of access to intelligence and data, replacing 234 prior individual systems.

QLITE refers to the suite of iPad devices used by police officers in the field. An increase in processing time for Triple Zero calls during peak periods was noted during the delays.

Although the issues have reportedly been resolved without apparent impacts on community or officer safety, Queensland Police is maintaining a close watch on the QPRIME system.
